About the role The RMM Platform Engineer plays a key role in delivering and evolving Node4’s Remote Management & Monitoring capability. You’ll take ownership of monitoring, patching, automation and endpoint management platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable and optimised for proactive managed service delivery. Working closely with engineering, service delivery and security teams, you’ll drive automation, reduce risk and continuously improve platform performance across our customer and internal environments. Key responsibilities include: Administering and optimising our RMM platforms, including agent deployment, policies and structure Designing and delivering proactive monitoring and alerting to reduce noise and drive automation Building and maintaining scripts for self-healing, patching and software deployment Owning patch management strategies across Windows, macOS, Linux and third-party applications Managing endpoint security, EDR, backup and vulnerability management through RMM tooling Producing clear reporting on endpoint health, compliance and SLA performance Supporting escalations, major incidents and out-of-hours on-call when required Maintaining accurate documentation for platform operations and wider teams Supporting acquisition due diligence and integration activities Driving continuous improvement, automation and platform innovation What will you bring? At least 3 years’ experience supporting customers in an MSP environment Strong experience with RMM, monitoring and endpoint management tools (e.g. N‑Central, Site24x7 or similar) Solid knowledge of patch management, endpoint security and vulnerability management (e.g. SentinelOne) Experience with backup and data protection solutions Strong automation and scripting capability Confidence communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders A proactive, structured and security‑focused mindset A genuine interest in technology, continuous improvement and platform excellence What can we offer you?
