Responsibilities Conduct holistic assessments addressing physical, psychological, spiritual, socioeconomic, and environmental health using culturally and developmentally appropriate methods. Deliver compassionate, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care across the lifespan, including acute, chronic, palliative, and end-of-life care. Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Educate and empower patients and caregivers with teaching tailored to age, culture, health literacy, and readiness to learn. Demonstrate clinical judgment and accountability, revising care plans based on outcomes and safely delegating tasks within healthcare teams. Promote professional growth, safety, and resilience, participating in lifelong learning, self-care, emergency preparedness, and quality improvement. Qualifications Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required. Experience: Patient Care Tech or Certified nursing assistance experience preferred, but not required License(s)/Certification(s): Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state (must be licensed in state of residence) Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Life Support, (ACLS), completion of a hospital approved crucial care course Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. Equipment/Supplies Used: Electronic and mechanical patient care equipment, office equipment, medications, including controlled substances and therapeutic gasses.
