Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for full-time offers when relocating more than 50 miles. Shift: Full-Time Nights, weekend and holiday rotation Shift Differentials: Shift differential of $5/hr for hours worked 3pm-11pm Shift differential of $7.50/hr for hours worked from 11pm-7am Weekend shift differential of $7.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am $4/hr float premium The Critical Care Internal Resource Team (IRT) provides support and additional resources to Emergency Departments and Critical Care units throughout UnityPoint Health—Des Moines during times of vacancy, high acuity, and census variations. Responsibilities Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate teaching and making the necessary referrals to provide continuity of care. Develops an individual plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and health care team. Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care. Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. Utilizes holistic approach (considering biopsychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients and families served in the assigned service area. Delegates and provides direction for other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and holds them accountable for their involvement in the plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in developing nursing interventions while maintaining responsibility and accountability for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa Experience: 2 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience Other: Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Responsibilities
The nurse will assess patient needs, develop collaborative care plans, and provide high-quality clinical care across various critical care and emergency units. They are also responsible for accurate documentation, delegating tasks to team members, and utilizing critical thinking to manage patient conditions.
