Description The Admissions Nurse prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. This position focuses on the admission of patients while providing an excellent experience of onboarding the patient and care givers to the agency’s care. Has full access to patient health information. Shift: Sat., Sun, Mon. with one additional day, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with call Requirements Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina. Certification in BCLS through American Hear Association or American Red Cross Current NC driver license, valid insurance coverage, and reliable transportation Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses the growth and development needs for the patients for whom the RN will be providing nursing care. Essential Physical Requirements: Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
