JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a meticulous Registered Nurse Auditor to conduct reviews of nursing procedures and documentation. The RN Auditor will be tasked with ensuring accurate billing and adherence to medical policies and regulations. This role requires an individual well-versed in medical coding and billing procedures, detail oriented, and has a background in nursing and experience in auditing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven work experience as a Nurse Auditor or similar role in the healthcare industry
  • Current registered nursing license
  • Familiarity with coding and billing procedures
  • Knowledge of medical regulations and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and practices.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous experience in auditing roles is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of wound care, home health, and relevant standards will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Prepare detailed audit reports that summarize findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and clarify audit requirements.
  • Assist in the development of audit plans and schedules to ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance standards and audit procedures.
