This position requires an ongoing availability and commitment for the following days and times: Alternating Tuesday, Saturday, possible Sunday's from 7am-5pm. Bayshore takes health and safety seriously. Job Qualification Graduation and current license (in good standing) from an accredited Licensed Registered Nurse Program and regulatory body. Standard First Aid & CPR/ AED (Level C), a vehicle and driver’s license. Additionally, we are looking for committed availability for the following days and times. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Perform routine nursing duties while working with individual clients in their homes in accordance with Bayshore policies/procedures and following the Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body. · Follow the established client Care Plan which can include activities and skills such as health assessments, health teaching, vital sign monitoring, tracheostomy care, medication administration, g-tube feeds, wound care, and general care within the designated scope of practice. Prior experience working with pediatric clients is an asset. · Provide individual client care and build a professional relationship with your client while ensuring that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent. · Following professional and Bayshore Home Health standards you will observe, document and report client conditions, changes and if required to the immediate Supervisor at the branch office. · Understand and implement infection prevention control practices. · Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities. · Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System. · Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns · Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel. · Complete other tasks as requested Education: RN level nurses who have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current registration with the provincial licensing body.
