Overview $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available for Full-Time Roles Shifts Available: Full-Time (0.8): 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM Part-Time (0.6): 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse provides acute nursing care to behavioral health patients while utilizing the Robert Young Center’s principles of Trauma-Informed Care. The Behavioral Health Nurse promotes mental wellness through the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral health concerns, mental disorders, and comorbid conditions across the lifespan. This role actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care plans, individual treatment plans, and safe discharge processes. The Registered Nurse consistently demonstrates UnityPoint Health – Trinity’s principles and values in interactions with patients, families, visitors, providers, and colleagues. At the Robert Young Center, specialists provide both inpatient and emergency mental health services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The psychiatric nurse is an essential part of these services, playing a key role in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In the inpatient program, the psychiatric nurse manages the patient’s psychiatric and medical care while ensuring consistent implementation and follow-through of the treatment plan across all shifts. Assures follow-through of the treatment plan on all shifts. Qualifications Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must possess and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training or obtain within 6 months from date of hire. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
