Summary RN-PCU-Full-Time Full-Time, .9 FTE |36hrs. third Shift BHCOR-Cor PCU Dept. I Corbin, KY PCU is a 20-bed unit capable of monitoring patients via central telemetry 24 hours a day. PCU serves as a place for the monitoring and care of patients age 16 to geriatric with moderate or potentially severe physiologic instability, requiring technical support but not necessarily artificial life support. Performs care requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Job Description: RN-PCU-Full-Time Description: Complete/document assessments and changes. Update care plan each shift with measurable goals. Evaluate interventions and patient response. Develop education and discharge plans. Communicate status and ensure accurate documentation. Implement care and education plans. Perform procedures and handle emergencies. Assist staff and monitor compliance. Facilitate patient flow. Act in emergent situations. Use SBAR/ARCC for communication. Identify and address care needs promptly. Promote safety and attention to detail. Lead and promote teamwork. Set priorities and organize workload. Provide accurate reports and delegate tasks. Act as role model and resource. Support orientation and professional growth. Attend safety and mandatory training. Maintain licensure and education. Comply with regulations and report violations. Requirements: Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment. Basic Life Support Required.
