Job Description Job Title: RN Location: Larned, Kansas Client Note: Please remember, these submissions must be flexible as the facility will not know the shift until their first days of orientation. We do not guarantee anyone a specific shift. I can tell you most of our needs are night shift. We have a long waiting list for day shifts. RNs require one year of experience in an inpatient psych, behavioral health, or a correctional setting ·The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge of skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principals of growth and development and possess the ability to assess and interpret data to identify age specific needs. Must provide specialized professional nursing supervision and coordination of quality patient care by fostering therapeutic relationships, active treatment and supporting the hospital in its mission and vision. ·Provides/delegates patient care and recognizes behavioral and physical changes. Plans nursing interventions, makes nursing assessments, and creates and carries out nursing care recommendations. ·Maintains a therapeutic environment. Passes medications and oversees the medication room. May serve as a shift leader providing oversight to subordinate nursing staff working the unit. Makes work assignments for staff assigned to the unit. Responds to medical emergencies. Takes orders and provides care/treatment as ordered by medical staff. Performs other duties as assigned within the Nursing Department. Requirements: Must possess a Kansas license/temporary permit or be given authority to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Requires an approved drug test approved by the Kansas Department of Administration. Additional training and certification required by the hospital or facility prior to assignment working in patient care and such certification must thereafter be maintained without interruption during the agreed assignment with the hospital or facility. Qualifications Note, please inform all these to the candidates: ·If a staff member works less than 8 hours, no break is required ·If a staff member works 8.25 hours to 13 hours, they only need to take 1 30-minute break ·If a staff member works more than 13.25 hours to 16 hours, they need to take 2 30-minute breaks ·If a staff works between the hours of 2245-0645, they will not get a break because they are working night shift ·If a staff works 1800 to 0630, they are required to take a (1) one 30 min break before 2245pm ·If a staff works 0600 to 1830, they are required to take a (1) one 30 min break ·If a staff works 2245 to 1030, they are required to take a (1) one 30 break after 0645am Please also attach the following documents.
