Description Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center/Veteran's Community Living Center is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Clinical Informaticist to support and enhance the information systems that drive patient care across our inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings. This is a dynamic role ideal for a healthcare professional with strong clinical knowledge and technical expertise who is passionate about improving workflows, optimizing systems, and advancing data-driven patient care. Requirements Essential Job Functions: • Develop and execute plans to implement and enhance supported systems. Design and coordinate program fixes and customized menus. • Communicates proactively and regularly with departments served. Develops and executes plans to implement and enhance supported systems. • Provides support in troubleshooting clinical programming and system problems. • Understands and supports workflows in department; works toward improvement in the workflow through system enhancements or process improvements. • Provides technical and application expertise to design, analyze, and optimize clinical information systems to ensure that system design achieves objectives of standardization, integration, and efficiency. • Collaborates with system team members to develop, coordinate, and assist with educational materials and learning opportunities. • Shares knowledge and expertise with others in support of organizational change management. • Adheres to facility policies and procedures. Demonstrates ethical business practices and personal actions and adherence to the facility’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. • Develops and maintains documentation of system design and workflow processes. • Analyzes and researches issues brought forward by end users, following up and assisting with resolution. • Serves as clinical informatics liaison for clinical and quality programs. • Develops and supports downtime processes and tools. • Provides summary information to leadership staff members as requested. Proactively provides important communication to provide information on changes or critical circumstances. • Perform other functions as required to fulfill the expectations of the Clinical Informaticist. Minimum Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Five years of nursing experience with at least two years or informatics experience is highly desired. Healthcare information systems experience and previous teaching experience preferred. Knowledge of Meditech and PointClickCare are highly desired. Necessary Special Requirements: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to a tuberculosis screening process.
