Responsibilities The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment. Qualifications 1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing 2. Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. 3. Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). PREFERRED: 1. BSN degree 2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). 3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units. 4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM): 6:45p-7:15a Weekend Requirements: Yes On-Call Requirements: No
