REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving history

Responsibilities
  • Client-Centered Care: Build trusting relationships with clients, ensuring their rights to privacy, independence, and decision-making are respected. Tailor care plans to meet the clinical, emotional, and cultural needs of clients.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care. Address concerns, provide feedback, and support clients’ decisions with respect and clarity.
  • High Standards of Clinical Care: Utilise evidence-based practice to deliver top-tier care. Coordinate with the care team to ensure all support aligns with the client’s needs and complies with DVA Community Nursing, Australian Aged Care Standards, and company policies.
  • Continuous Assessment: Regularly evaluate and update care plans to reflect changes in the client’s condition, ensuring a dignified and respectful approach.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Work closely with the Clinical Officer/Coordinator and other team members to provide a unified approach to care. Be prepared to step in for the Clinical Officer/Coordinator when necessary.
  • Ethical Practice: Adhere to legal obligations, AHPRA regulations, and privacy legislation to maintain the highest standards of ethical nursing care.
