Day Surgery PRN Evenings (at least 1 shift per week)

  • Patient Population: Varied surgical cases
  • Monday-Friday – 5:30am-9pm; Staggered shifts: 12 hours, 10 hours, 8 hours
  • 34 total Pre Op: 15; Procedures & Infusion: 8-10, Phase 2 Recovery: 4-8
  • No Call
  • Holidays and weekends are not required but is an option
  • Shift: PRN Evening
  • Experience required: 2+ years of RN

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of an accredited course
  • Field of Study: The applicable major should be nursing.
  • Certification: Hold a BLS certificate now or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
  • Registered Nurse License
  • Experience required: 2+ years of RN
Responsibilities
  • Prioritize needs. Create, implement, and assess care plan to achieve outcomes. Adapt plan as necessary.
  • Observe indicators closely, support evidence-based changes with research and hands-on learning.
  • Create a caring, safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Build relationships with boundaries in mind. Focus on managing emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering.
  • Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community to develop and execute an integrated plan of care.
  • Use problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.
