Department: ICE | EMSL Nursing OP C Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Schedule: Fulltime This position will be utilized to fill multiple positions The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Emergency Department and Trauma Center. UAMS provides emergency care to greater than 55,000 patients per year. Medical and nursing coverage is delivered by faculty, residents, registered nurses and technicians from the Emergency Medicine Service Line. Educational opportunities exist to obtain ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications as well as instructor certifications in these courses. The Emergency Department aims to achieve 100% of nursing staff to become Certified Emergency Nurses (CEN) through the Emergency Nurses Association. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing. Valid RN License, 1 year of Registered Nursing experience, excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability. BLS, ACLS, TNCC. PALS within 6 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years or more nursing experience with current BLS, CEN or TCRN. Additional Information: Additional Information: Collects and documents assessment data. Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard. Implements POC including medical order and interdisciplinary approach. Evaluates the progress of patient toward attainment of desired outcomes. Delivers patient care using the principles of the defined nursing modality.
