The Float Pool provides support to all of our inpatient units including intermediate, cardiac, surgical, and a variety of other service lines. Float pool staffing provides a crucial service for our customers, not only to ensure safe quality patient care, but provides support for our unit colleagues as well. You will be offered opportunities to expand your knowledge and maintain an expansive skill set with a variety of patients throughout the facility that will enable you to become a resource to others. The area of focus Floating each shift to Intensive Care units & Complex Medical/Trauma units within the hospital UofL Health is a fully integrated regional academic health system with nine hospitals, four medical centers, Brown Cancer Center, Eye Institute, nearly 200 physician practice locations and more than 1,000 providers in Louisville and the surrounding counties, including southern Indiana.
