This role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient-centered care that addresses psychosocial, physical, and emotional needs. The RN collabor closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety, therapeutic outcomes, crisis stabilization, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Provide therapeutic nursing care, education, and crisis intervention Monitor patients with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disorders Respond to and manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams Maintain compliance with HIPAA, hospital policies, and regulatory standards Support patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and team collaboration Mentor and support nursing assistants and new staff Qualifications Required: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. Preferred: One-year experience in a psychiatric setting. Required: Current BLS (CPR) from American Heart Association. Preferred: Emergency Room or Psyche experience
