You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. The RN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Primary Responsibilities: * Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift. * Administers direct care as necessary. * Administer prescribed medications to patients. * Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment. * Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition. * Assists in developing comprehensive care plans. Other Duties: * Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident. * Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered. * Responds to resident emergency call system. * Interfaces with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services. * Accompanies physicians when making rounds. * Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence. * Participates in family/resident counseling, as necessary. * Assists with the orientation and evaluation of nursing personnel. * Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. * Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies. Qualifications * All nurses must be currently licensed in the State. Must have current CPR certification. * Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred. All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we request vaccination status that he/she had testing done for measles, mumps, rubella, & varicella (MMRV) to ensure immunity.  EEO Employer  
Responsibilities
