OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an ICU nurse, you will play a vital role in monitoring and managing patients with severe and life-threatening conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience?
  • ACLS - American Heart Association
  • PALS or ENPC - required
  • CPR/BLS - American Heart Association
  • Proficient treating ICU and Tele patients?
  • Proficient treating ventilated patients, post cardiac cath lab, IABP, sepsis, COPD, post op, trauma?
  • Proficient with Tele, ability read EKG? (required)

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and medical history to provide comprehensive care.
  • Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform gastric lavage, tube feeding, and other specialized nursing procedures.
  • Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and health management.
  • Ensure adherence to sterile processing protocols and infection control measures.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy and internal medicine to inform patient assessments and interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance critical care skills.
