As the Registered Nurse working at City of Hope Irvine Sand Canyon. Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive nursing care to the patients while assisting them through their treatment journey offering emotional support and education. The nurses at City of Hope play a vital role in improving the quality of life for cancer patients by providing expert care, support, and education throughout their cancer journey. While fostering excellence in patient care and adherence to City of Hope's high-quality standards. As a successful candidate, you will: Assessing patients’ health status Developing and implementing care plans Administering chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patents’ vital signs and symptoms Providing education and support to patients and their families and coordinating care and follow-up appointments. Help with managing side effects and complications from their cancer treatment. Involved in quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs specific to cancer care. Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet the patient care needs. Additional duties include stocking and maintaining infusion supplies, ensuring treatment areas are organized and prepared for patient flow. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Your qualifications should include: Associate degree in nursing. 3 years+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse Must have a current and valid California Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy is required. Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in a physician’s office or hospital.
