About the Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) at UAB Medical West, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. Minimum Qualifications: * Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama. * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: * Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs. * Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members. * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. * Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to evaluate patient health and develop care plans.
