JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery (L&D) team in Utica, NY. The L&D RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality, family-centered care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth process. This role involves close collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal specialists to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required).
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA required).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and STABLE certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • 1 year of Labor & Delivery or Women’s Health RN experience preferred.
    Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract
    Pay: $2,700.00 - $2,800.00 per week

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to mothers during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status, including vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart tracings.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural support per provider orders.
  • Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies.
  • Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care.
  • Support patients and families with compassion, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and quality care standards.
