Overview Shift: Part-time; 6:45 AM–7:15 PMAs a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health with in the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Our Level II NSCU at Moline includes private and double occupancy rooms for neonates requiring specialized care, while Bettendorf offers additional support with private and open bay layouts. We care for neonates from 30 weeks gestation, following AWHONN guidelines. Our highly trained staff provides consistent care between the two campuses. We hire those with experience and new graduates and provide a comprehensive preceptor led and didactic orientation, based on individual need. We do 12 hour shifts and every third weekend and holiday. We are a closed division and only float to other areas within Maternal Child in both Moline and Bettendorf. We offer flexible scheduling allowing our staff better work life balance. Responsibilities Provide specialized nursing care to newborns including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting infants with complex medical needs such as prematurity, respiratory distress, or congenital conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for infants and provide emotional support and education to families. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards in neonatal care, maintaining meticulous documentation, and staying current with best practices in neonatal nursing including advanced life support and infant resuscitation techniques. Qualifications Education: Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
