  RN Position Purpose:      Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients. Makes staff assignments as directed if serving in a Charge Nurse Role. Gives guidance and direction to personnel - LPNs, CNAs and non-licensed personnel, provides direct patient care, assists in new staff orientation and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs. Assist in coordinating the operation of a shift on the nursing unit. This should be performed under the direction of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.      Requirements:      Education - Associate Degree in Nursing minimum; or Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing     Licenses/Certificates - Registered and Licensed by the State of Georgia. Certification in CPR (within 60 days of hire) and ACLS (and PALS if Charge Nurse) current or enrolls in class and completes within 90 days.   ***EXPERIENCE PREFERRED*** Working Conditions - Must be proficient in verbal and written communication. Must be able to work at a personal computer. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and to be able to lift, push, bend and carry loads of up to 50 pounds; must be able to lift and move patients. Must be able to concentrate despite frequent interruptions. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
