This position is for 12-hour days with night call required. This position is responsible for managing the OR nursing care by observing the surgical team from a broad perspective and creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. This position reports to the Manager of Surgical Services. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team while treating patients with kindness and consideration. Demonstrating excellent knowledge of sterilization techniques and surgical operation procedures in maintaining a clean and safe work area. Using keen observation skills to evaluate the emergence and postoperative phase. Assisting the surgical team by ensuring the Time Out is performed, counts are correct, and the Post Time Out is performed. Remaining calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.
