Can demonstrate measurable results an meet target dates. · Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and takes part in shared leadership. · Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and ACLS · Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process utilizing standards set forth for Nursing Practice by the ANA and ASPAN · Organizes, modifies, evaluates, documents, and maintains the plan of care for PACU patients based on total assessment and the age of the patients. · Participates and cooperates in the unit-based Quality Improvement processes. · Practices, develops and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers. · Serves as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information. · Evaluates and documents patient’s response; monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychosocial status; takes appropriate action based on clinical condition, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology of patient. · Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm · Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements. · Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered. · Regular, punctual and dependable attendance · Other duties as assigned Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects MACC’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Must read, write and communicate in English. Basic Life Support and ACLS Certification required. Critical Care experience preferred Knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards and requirements
