Summary RN-PCU Part-Time, Third Shift BHCOR-Cor PCU Dept. I Corbin, KY PCU is a 20-bed unit capable of monitoring patients via central telemetry 24 hours a day. PCU serves as a place for the monitoring and care of patients age 16 to geriatric with moderate or potentially severe physiologic instability, requiring technical support but not necessarily artificial life support. Performs care requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Job Description: RN-PCU-Part-Time Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Assessment of patients’ needs. Development of patient care plan(s) Provision of direct care. Management of patient care delivery. Demonstration of leadership skills. Support for quality care. Customer relations and healing environment. Requirements: Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years. ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment. Basic Life Support.
