If so, we invite you to consider this opportunity. Responsibilities Supports and maintains neuroprosthetic implantable devices. Procedures include, but are not limited to: Pump Studies, Spinal Infusion Pump Refills, Reprogramming and troubleshooting. Demonstrates clinical competence in principles of asepsis in the clinical environment Demonstrates clinical competence in refill/reprogramming calculations, catheter volume calculations and problem-solving skills as they relate to implanted Spinal Infusion pumps. Assists Physicians with chronic pain/spasticity treatment procedures in the clinic. Coordinates with community home care agency(s) when directed to assure continuity of care for patients with implanted intrathecal pumps. Provides patient and family teaching specifics to implantable devices. Reviews medication agreements with all patients who are prescribed opiates or benzodiazepines. Provides phone triage and assesses patient needs, provides advice, acts as a liaison between patients and their providers, and acts as patient advocates. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Skills: All nursing staff employed within this clinical setting are required to demonstrate proficiency in nursing care to patients undergoing complex interventional pain management therapies; age-specific care, including both pediatric and geriatric. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association. PALS certification from the American Heart Association. Pay Range USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 /Hr.
