We are seeking a compassionate and experienced full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre-Op, Circulator and PACU care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Austin, TX. Our nurses play a critical role in taking care of our patients from pre-operative, intraoperative and post-anesthesia care. Responsibilities Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and support the patients’ right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice. Perform thorough pre-operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting. Perform safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period. Perform thorough post-operative patient assessment prior to discharge of the patient. Perform discharge education to patient and care giver. Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered. Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical records system. Assists in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the postoperative area. Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth. Requirements 2 to 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing, including preoperative, circulator and PACU preferred but will train. Orthopedic experience preferred. Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Texas. Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment. Valid BLS certification. Valid ACLS or Obtain within the first 90 days of employment. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and perioperative nursing protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other medical software.
