How you make a difference Under the direction of facility leadership, the Quality Assurance Coordinator oversees the collection, evaluation, and reporting of quality performance data within a correctional setting. This role supports quality improvement programs by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal healthcare standards. The position plays a key role in monitoring program performance, conducting audits, and reviewing medical records to support continuous improvement. The coordinator prepares reports, collaborates with leadership on corrective actions, and supports training and education efforts. This role is also responsible for quality initiatives specific to the CalAIM Justice-Involved population. Key Responsibilities Collects, analyzes, and manages quality performance data using appropriate quality tools and statistical methods Designs, conducts, and evaluates audits, chart reviews, and documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance Prepares and coordinates performance and quality reports for internal leadership and external reporting needs Monitors facility quality control plans and CalAIM program metrics, identifying gaps and trends Collaborates with site and regional leadership to develop training, corrective action plans, and quality improvement initiatives Additional Details Must be an RN Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate degree from a nationally accredited nursing program Training in processes and quality tools Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience Two (2) or more years of experience working in a QA setting or hold certificate in quality (i.e. Green Belt, Certified Quality Technician, Quality Improvement Associate or Quality Inspector) A background in healthcare quality assurance and a solid understanding of CalAIM policies and Medi-Cal requirements are essential for success in this role.
