Position Overview Department: Cardiac Cath Lab Schedule: Multiple shifts available Fulltime dayshift Fulltime nighshift PRN Work Location: UAB St Vincent's Birmingham Alabama Benefits for eligible positions include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more The UAB St. Vincent's Cath Lab Department is a specialized unit within St. Vincent's hospital or healthcare facility. This department is dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients who have undergone cardiac procedures or surgeries, such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, open-heart surgery, pacemaker implantation, or other cardiac interventions. What You Will Do Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
