Position Overview Department: Cardiac Stepdown - 5 WEST Schedule: Multiple shifts available Full-Time Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Full-Time Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Full-Time Weekend Days, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Full-Time Weekend Nights, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham Benefits for eligible positions include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care according to established policies, implements and monitors patient care plans, and records/communicates patient conditions as appropriate. This role also serves as a primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care and manages physician/nursing orders.
