Position Overview Department: Med Surg Schedule: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, (3) 12 Hour Shifts Per Week Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair Benefits for eligible positions only include: Generous Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and More What You Will Do Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care according to established protocols, implementing and monitoring patient care plans while noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Responsibilities also include monitoring patient condition, serving as a primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines, and assessing discharge planning needs.
