Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: : The Registered Nurse (RN)/Qualified Professional (QP) is responsible for providing full range of employee training duties, as well as independently administering several assigned responsibilities, educating employees to ensure vital tools are taught to employees enabling them to provide exceptional client care. As well as providing specified nursing services to home care clients according to MN DHS and MDH guidelines and MN Home Care Statutes.

EXPERIENCE/JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program and licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota.
  • Experience in home care or assisted living preferred.
  • Competencies: Must be able to read, write, comprehend and carry out directions and instructions.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software and standard office equipment.
  • Education and Experience: Administrative education or minimum 2 years administrative assistance/training coordination experience preferred.
  • Able to function independently.
  • Good health status and emotional stability.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence.
    Additionally the RN may choose to provide in-field support to RNs.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Training: Provide one-to-one training to employees in client homes under the supervision of the DON
  • Internal Training: Suggest, research, instructing, and coordination of internal training classes
  • Competency Training: Ensure compliance of required training through consistent monitoring of MN DHS and MN DOH requirements
  • Research and implement training information and tests
  • Instruct competency training class with new employees
  • Review completed forms and tests to ensure completeness
  • Follow up with employees to update incomplete forms and tests
  • Address employees directly to provide necessary follow-up training
  • File all training paperwork in employee files
  • Orientation: Provide Home Care orientation to employees as requested
  • Training File Paperwork: Periodically review employee training paperwork to ensure completeness of employee files.
  • Hermantown Employee Training: Provide training to employees at other office(s)
  • CEU: Update and track all employee CEUs
  • Contact employees and ensure compliance
  • Annual Training: Create, maintain and disperse annual training information and tests
  • Contact employees to ensure return of all required training documents for employee files
  • Weekly Update: Provide weekly update to office staff at weekly meeting
  • DHS and DOH Training Information Updates:· Review DHS/DOH and other sources for updates and notify staff accordingly
  • Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program and licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Seek and maintain other relevant education or accreditation, capitalizing on the opportunity to provide valuable and appropriate training to employees
  • General Office: Correspondence, memo, fax, and copy
  • All other general office duties as assigned
