WHAT WE DO:

Our clinics provide clients with:

  • Comprehensive travel health consultations
  • Vaccinations and preventative care
  • TB Testing

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of immunology, vaccines, and infectious diseases.
  • Working knowledge of immunization schedules and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to use problem-solving, critical thinking, and priority setting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and interdependently and make sound nursing practice decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills are required.
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
    Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Public Health: 2 years (preferred)
  • immunizing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • BCCNM License (required)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a permanent part-time position, with a minimum commitment of 2 days per week. Flexibility is key, as clinic hours may vary depending on client volume.

THE ROLE:

  • RN Travel Health Consultants provide pre-travel medical risk assessment advice to prevent travel-acquired illness and disease.
  • Providing holistic assessment for intended travelers to determine the need for further health advice and care from a medical physician
  • Making recommendations and administering appropriate immunizations and prescription medications
  • Administer other routine or seasonal vaccinations and TB skin tests
