Description

C-Care Health Services is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to be assigned to one of our client located in Port Union, Scarborough. Must be available to work full-time hours and overnight shifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful completion of a Nursing Diploma program
  • At least 1 year of experience as an RN/RPN
  • Certificate of Competence for Registered Practical Nurse from the CNO
  • BLS or CPR (HCP) Certificate
  • Experience with wound care and tube feeding is an asset.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized nursing care to the client and attend to their specific needs.
  • Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, grooming and mobility.
  • Reassess the client regularly and ensure that the care plan is updated and is still aligned with the client’s needs.
  • Monitor client condition and observe any changes in their overall health.
  • Administer medications according to the prescribed dosages and schedules. Ensure the accuracy of the medication being administered while monitoring the side effects and allergies.
  • Educate the client about their prescribed medications.
  • Assist with wound care and implementing appropriate wound care strategies.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to the client.
  • Adhere to standard precautions such as proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment as needed.
