Job Details Job Location: Radation Oncology - FMC Main Campus - Lancaster, OH 43130 Position Type: Part Time .30 Travel Percentage: No Driving Required Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nursing This position will be split between our Radiation Oncology department and our Infusion Clinic. Two days a week in Radiation Oncology and fill in as needed in our Infusion Clinic. Pay Rate: $33.50-$49.60 hourly Job Description: The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Provides quality nursing care based on a family centered approach. Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process. Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process. Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care. Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures. Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department. Qualifications Job Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred. Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio. CPR required. Previous nursing experience preferred. Complete required Radiation Oncology and Chemotherapy specific Oncology Nursing Society courses Obtain Oncology Specific Certification or obtain a minimum of 18 Cancer specific CEs per year Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
Responsibilities
