We are looking for an experienced, full-time Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist to join our nursing management team. This is a 32 hour position with a on call weekend rotation. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Earn additional pay of $2400 per year, if you are enrolled in another employer-sponsored health insurance plan Critical illness, accident, long-term disability, legal plan and pet insurance available Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance Flexible Spending Account 401K Plan, with 3% automatic employer contribution (after 1 year of employment) Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; • Plan, develop, direct, evaluate and coordinate staff development educational programs to include new hire orientation, staff in-services and on-the-job training • Assure that all employees are informed, oriented and knowledgeable about job assignments, exposures and instructions needed to provide the highest quality of care • Plan, develop, coordinate and direct the Infection Control Program • Evaluate the quality of resident care and resident outcomes as related to healthcare-associated infections • Present infections data and make recommendations for corrective actions • Monitors employee compliance in use of barriers and infection prevention measures • Provide staffing coverage as requested to maintain appropriate staff ratios • Share “on call” responsibility with other nurse managers Requirements • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing • Must have at least two years’ experience as a supervisor in a healthcare facility, preferably in a long-term care setting • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that pertain to long-term care • Must be CPR/BCLS and IV certified • Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors, staff and governmental agencies • Must be able to work with minimum of supervision; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin, marital or familial status, age or mental or physical handicap.
