RN Staff Educator – Part Time   The RN Staff Educator will design and implement a comprehensive staff orientation program that meets regulatory and compliance requirements and aligns with the LCC Mission.  This role will deliver, track, and schedule educational programs and manage educational resources.   Responsibilities: * Lead the development, implementation, and execution of mandatory annual education and competencies for all clinical and non-clinical staff. * Responds to the organization's educational needs via requests for training on new processes or patient care equipment or in response to identified knowledge deficits. * Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in long-term care and participate in the dissemination of this information to staff. * Stays current with LCC policy & procedures Federal, State and Local regulations, and all requirements from accrediting bodies.   Skills we are looking for: * Excellent active listening and communication skills. * Ability to meet deadlines. * Proficient computer skills required. * Excellent communication skills required – verbal and written. * Ability to work non-judgmentally in all settings. * Ability to work non-judgmentally with patient/family of any culture, religion, socio-economic background or lifestyle. * Can effectively communicate in English, both verbally (in person and by phone) and in writing. * Capability to work effectively and cooperatively independently and as a team member. * Skill to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently. * Can organize appropriately with efficient time management skills   Education & Experience: * Current registration as an RN in New York State. * Graduate of accredited nursing program/school * Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience preferred, previous SNF  experience preferred. * Clinical Education experience preferred   Hours: Flexible Monday-Friday days; off hours when needed for additional education support   FLSA: Non-Exempt Pay: $45/hour   Lutheran Care Center is a 160-bed nonprofit nursing and rehabilitation facility located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, and the care of our residents always comes first.
