Description Join the nursing leadership team at Bethany Village as an RN Supervisor! This role oversees resident care and supports staff throughout the shift while helping ensure a positive, safe, and well-run environment for residents, families, and employees. We are looking for a strong leader who is team-focused, compassionate, and ready to jump in where needed to support both residents and staff in our skilled nursing facility. Position Overview: Overall facility supervisor for all departments during the shift. Responsible for supervising and assessing quality and quantity of performance of staff members reporting to him/her during the shift, and oversee resident care in accordance with the resident, physician's orders, and family needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Coach & lead resident care staff, as well as all departmental staff for the required shift. Perform physical assessments of residents. Physician phone calls and follow-up lab reports as needed. Ensures all reporting requirements are met and completes all required paperwork; ie infection control, accident/incident reports, etc. Ensures that CNA & LPN assignments are completed, and assist when necessary (responsible for hands-on treatment for residents). Ensures emergency equipment is in proper working condition; performs appropriate equipment audits. Ensures that care procedures are carried-out in compliance with all state, DOH, and OSHA regulations; random audits performed as needed. Performs appropriate coaching and disciplinary procedures, and relays information to RN Unit Managers and D.O.N. Basic Duties & Responsibilities Assist with physician rounds Ensures appropriate resident reports are completed and communicated to incoming shift. Supervise dining room during meals. Provide ongoing orientation and in-service to staff on a daily basis. Endorses and complies with the Vision, objectives, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village. All other duties as assigned. Education Required: RN license CPR certified Experience Required: Previous charge and/or long-term care experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Hazards: Exposure to the following may be present in this position. Blood-borne pathogens and infectious body fluids/waste. Needles. Combative residents. Disinfectants and cleaners MSDS sheets are available for all chemicals used. Additional Qualifications: Excellent supervisory skills and ability to be a good listener are beneficial to successful performance in this position. Ability to practice choice theory may also be required. Must be able to communicate with staff, residents, and the families of the residents. Resident-focused at all times, while acting as a pleasant professional is essential. Task-centeredness, punctuality, and a pleasant demeanor are beneficial to successful performance in this position.
