Position Overview: The Team Leader – Communities is responsible for managing shifts, overseeing nursing and care staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. This role combines clinical governance, training, and direct care management, working closely with the Clinical Services team to implement and monitor clinical procedures and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support RNs, ENs, and Care Partners on shifts to ensure quality care, adherence to care plans, and compliance with HBH standards. Assist with training, audits, and implementing clinical policies and procedures. Manage performance, address disciplinary issues, and encourage professional development. Collaborate with the Clinical Services team to enhance quality initiatives and meet Health and Disability Service Standards. Ensure health and safety best practices are followed and contribute to the delivery of quality care. Key Qualifications & Experience: NZRN with 7+ years of post-qualification nursing experience (ideally in aged care). Previous staff management experience in a nursing leadership role. Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced in audits and clinical standards.
