• Department: Internal Medicine - Phone Triage
• Schedule: 0.5 FTE | 20 hours a week | Part-Time, Day Shift, (7:30 am - 5 pm) no weekends or holidays.

• Location: Wauwatosa, WI

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

PRIMARILY TRIAGE DUTIES (95%+ OF THE ROLE IS TRIAGE):

Internal Medicine and Epic experience preferred but willing to train well qualified candidate.
Triage RN experience preferred.
Potential to work some of the scheduled hours remotely after 6 months in the role, if desired.
