Ability to provide leadership in Emergency or Code Blue roles. Maintain ability to perform in an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting. Maintain knowledge of patient equipment and therapeutic modalities utilized in the Cath Lab. Maintain knowledge of medications and conscious sedation used in the Cath Lab. Complies with department policies regarding appropriate sterile technique and radiation safety. Participate in education, community activities and performance improvement projects. Oversees maintenance and provides troubleshooting of equipment. Qualifications Graduate of accredited nursing program Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within 3 months from hire date. Must possess and maintain current ACLS or Core certification or obtain within 3 months from hire date. Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
