RN Weekend Supervisor Location: Fayetteville, AR 72703   Position Summary The Weekend RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the nursing department during weekend shifts in a long-term care facility. This role ensures quality resident care, regulatory compliance, appropriate staffing support, and effective communication between nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families. The RN Supervisor provides leadership, clinical guidance, and immediate problem resolution to maintain safe and effective care delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Oversight * Supervise nursing staff including LPNs/LVNs and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) during assigned weekend shifts. * Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory requirements. * Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in condition, emergencies, or incidents. * Assist with complex clinical procedures and assessments when needed. * Review and follow up on new physician orders, lab results, and treatment changes. Staff Leadership * Assign duties and coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage for resident care needs. * Provide guidance, coaching, and clinical support to nursing staff. * Address employee performance issues or concerns and escalate to the DON/ADON when necessary. * Facilitate effective shift-to-shift communication and handoff reports. Regulatory Compliance * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care (CMS, state health department, and facility policies). * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure nursing documentation meets regulatory standards. * Assist with incident investigations and ensure proper reporting. Resident & Family Support * Respond to resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner. * Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and family members according to facility protocol. Operational Responsibilities * Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed. * Review medication administration records (MAR/TAR) for accuracy. * Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed. * Support implementation of care plans and interdisciplinary care coordination. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Licensure Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arkansas (or applicable state). Experience * Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing. * Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience, preferred. * Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR), preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong leadership and team supervision skills * Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards * Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies * Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills * Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents with mobility as needed * Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance * Ability to work extended shifts and respond to emergencies ARE YOU READY FOR AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?
