The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and motivated RCA Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation and ongoing application of the New Zealand Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM). The successful candidate will foster strong collaboration with internal WTA teams and external stakeholders to streamline operations and drive best-practice traffic management. This role is integral to ensuring that WTA fulfills its obligations as a Road Controlling Authority (RCA) in managing and operating the State Highway network throughout the Greater Wellington region. Day to day responsibilities include: Reviewing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) within the WTA network Conducting scheduled quality, assurance and control checks Ensuring all closures comply with relevant guidelines and standards Please be aware that this is predominantly a dayshift position based at the Majestic Centre Office. Scheduled quality, assurance and control checks are a requirement of this role and these will predominantly take place at night. About you To be successful in this role you will ideally have: Minimum of 3 years' experience in temporary traffic management or a related field. Strong understanding of traffic management plans, with the ability to assess compliance with CoPTTM/NZGTTM guidelines and suitability for work activities. Familiarity with Wrike, Submittica, MyWorksites, or similar systems. Experience in risk assessment (preferred). Demonstrate ability to adapt to change and think quickly in dynamic/complex situations. Collaborative team player who fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Safety-focused mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
