Position Summary: Responsible for safeguarding ground transportation operations across the Central and Eastern regions in North America. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards while proactively mitigating risks to cargo, personnel, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate requires strong analytical, investigative, and leadership skills, with the ability to balance strategic security planning with real-time operational response. This position plays a critical role in protecting high-value cargo, ensuring safe transit, and maintaining the integrity of the company’s ground transportation network.

EDUCATION / REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years related experience
  • BA/BS Degree preferred (Criminology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics)
  • Working knowledge of WMS and TMS.
  • Proficient in MS Office software – Excel, Power Point, MS Word, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices in freight forwarding industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to define problems, analyze facts and determine valid solutions to resolve the issues.
  • Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism and creativity, representing both client and team situations professionally.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Security Program Leadership – Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security handbooks, and training programs for ground transportation security and safety.
  • Operational Auditing – Conduct GPS tracking system audits to verify delivery point accuracy, carrier compliance, and data integrity at the station level.
  • Incident Management – Lead theft investigations, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with law enforcement during incidents.
  • Risk Assessment – Execute lane mapping, identify high-risk routes, delivery locations, and operational “hot spots,” and establish approved stop/overnight locations.
  • Carrier & Vendor Oversight – Manage carrier security onboarding, conduct site audits, enforce insurance and compliance requirements, and evaluate vendor performance against service level agreements.
  • Customer & Regulatory Compliance – Ensure security protocols align with customer-specific requirements (including High-Value Cargo programs such as Apple NPI), RFQ/RFI processes, and regulatory mandates.
  • Insurance Coordination – Oversee ground transport insurance processes, manage claims with customers and vendors, and ensure transparent communication throughout the claims lifecycle.
  • Technology Utilization – Leverage GPS platforms for shipment monitoring, anomaly detection, and integration of advanced transportation security technologies.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Act as primary point of contact for security escalations within the assigned region, fostering strong partnerships with internal teams, customers, carriers, and authorities.
