  • leading road safety audits and reviews;
  • the development and implementation of a road safety management system; and

The Road Safety Engineer provides road safety leadership and technical support services to other Department staff and represents the Department on provincial and national road safety committees.

A working knowledge of the AASHTO Highway Safety Manual, TAC Design Guide, the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Canada, the Public Highways Act, and the Motor Vehicle Act are further assets to be considered.
As the successful candidate you are known to be an effective leader and communicator with excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. You are highly motivated and able to work independently on complex, detailed studies and to present technical information clearly and succinctly both in written and verbal formats.
