The main purpose of the role is to carry out cleansing operations work as directed, using plant and equipment for which you hold an appropriate licence, in a safe and responsible manner and in compliance with the Company’s and the Client’s safety procedures.
· To carry out cleansing operations duties as assigned by your Line Manager or the Depot Manager –e.g. street cleansing
· To carry out jet washing of public pathways as directed
· To carry out dust suppression works as and when required
· To carry out gullysucking duties as directed.
· To provide details of ‘engine hours worked information’ for each item of plant
· To undertake maintenance of hire fleet vehicles as qualified and directed
· To maintain the cab of any vehicle used in a clean and tidy condition
· Act as an ambassador for the Company at all times, being courteous to Clients and other road users
· To notify the Company of any incidents that may impact on the status of your driving licence
· Any other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time.
· To report any defect in vehicles and plant and monitor safety performance
· To use any designated Personal Protective Equipment at all times as directed and to maintain it in accordance with the instructions provided.
Essential Skills:
· HGV class 2 licence
· Driver CPC card
· Polite and customer focused, with a ‘can do’ attitude
Desired Skills:
· Fully conversant with the safe operation (and where appropriate, the maintenance requirements) of the plant used in the role
· Aware of the appropriate safety procedures and attentive to risk at all times
· Ability to check machinery
· A team player who looks out for the members of the team as well as themselves
· CSCS road sweeper and gullysucker competence
