Description Location: Fort Worth, TX Type: Full-Time Pay: BOE - $18/hour + $10/hour stipend per test completed Please Note: Monday-Thursday need to be available / Saturdays from 10am-5pm (Can end earlier) About Us: Founded in 2017, Coastline Academy is the largest behind-the-wheel driver education company in the United States. We are on a mission to rid the world of car crashes by teaching students to be safe and confident drivers for life. About This Role: In a company-provided vehicle, you will conduct road tests as a certified Third-Party Skills Testing (TPST) instructor. All of our lessons behind-the-wheel lessons and road tests are taught in a Coastline car and recorded with a dashboard camera for the safety of you and your student. The majority of the demand for road tests is in the afternoons and weekends as most of our students are on a school schedule. A typical day could consist of - 10-20 road tests. Responsibilities: Complete and inspect the DPS testing paper Provide third-party road-testing instruction Conduct the behind-the-wheel test Gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations Use a standardized scoring sheet and DPS paperwork Conduct a post-drive review with the student Record the results in DPS’s system or via the AO’s reporting process Attending team meetings for updates and ongoing development Qualifications: Licensed Driving Instructor Must be certified by third party skills tester (TPST Examiner) A genuine passion for helping people learn Ability to remain calm in a learning environment A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check Must have 10 years of legal driving experience A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others Ability to focus for extended periods of time Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle Must be able to see and hear during all weather conditions Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
