Responsibilities

We’re currently seeking a Light Vehicle Fitter for a 14/7 roster with a strong background in road transport or civil mobile plant. This is not your average LV role – we’re looking for someone who’s confident working on a wide range of machines, including:

In this role, you will:

  • Road trucks: Scania, Isuzu, Mack
  • Civil mobile equipment: CAT 140 & 14M graders, 20T rollers, watercarts
  • General support vehicles across a large operation
  • Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard.
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
  • Conduct technical inspections and job estimations.
