In this role, you'll: Perform maintenance at a Road Worker Grade 3 and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools and chainsaws Road maintenance activities may include, but not limited to, widening & barrier installs, enhanced road pavements, overtaking lanes and heavy patching works. Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise On occasion camp away from home and travel throughout the region to attend worksites when required Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards Work a 9-day fortnight roster For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack About you We’re seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments. You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting. You must hold the following qualifications: White Card Current driver’s licence Traffic Control Tickets You must have previous experience as a Road Worker Grade 2 level or higher or related civil construction experience. Whilst not essential - experience operating an MR (Gang) Truck will be highly regarded We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 50 km distance from the Goolgowi depot.
